The Forge Hand Family Garden is a space brimming with equipment and contraptions. The Forge Hand are the architects and engineers who laid the foundation for the vast nation the Vorku once had. They craft equipment and armours, and also are the ones who created all the elaborate mechanisms that allow for the switches and gates and machines you use in Mother’s Rise and throughout the world established by the Vorku civilization.
In the Garden is all sorts of forges and work spaces. One machine though has an axe emblem on it with a bracket on the top/front of it. Anchored in the bracket is a stone axehead and a wooden handle, to the side is another terminal, however this one requires an injection of essence. Once used the terminal punches the two items together into a “Stone Axe”. A small introduction to crafting in the game.
Throughout the world will be remnants of these various crafting machines with different needs. The one at the smith garden is an axe maker, combining the axehead and handle. While there would be other machines for other weapons, like for a great sword it would require a great blade, handle, and pommel. Parts of which you may be able to make from other auxilliary machines, but are also found as treasures and given as quest rewards.
In Nika Village, expanding the smith family facilities would create more and more of these machines localized to the village. The idea being that the smith villagers are amalgamating the technology scattered throughout into one big crafting site. While the machines throughout the game world would simply be partial and scattered across the land.
The Smith Garden has a path into an indoor section of Mothers Rise, shared by the Ravens Eye, and Hawks Blood families. In the middle (ground) floor is a room full of machines and mechanisms, one of which is a stone axehead punch. But more predominantly is a switch in the middle of the room. When you interact with it you pull the handle up and begin a timer switch, the handle starts to slowly sink in time to the mechanism. The switch activates a slew of gates all over the indoor building and around the surrounding area, allowing access to the items within. Once the timer runs out, all the gates shut again. The puzzle for this is that the more rewarding treasures will be in gates you need to race to get to before the time runs out. Some of the gates will even require speed buffs and gear to access.
Otherwise the indoor area main floor has accesses to the other floors which you can only get to by solving other navigational puzzles.
The Forgehand Flower is a Tulip like flower that glows a fiery warm orange that bleeds through the petals and illuminates the surrounding area. The pollen seems to snap and pop out rhythmically from the plant leaving red streaks of light as they float away.
