Key Responsibilities:
- Build Tools, and Systems to support the creation of ii Indie scale projects.
- Work alongside other production teams to realize innovative, creative, and cinematic goals in production.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and optimization of O3DE, including implementing new features and improving existing functionality.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of game systems and engine components.
- Participate in planning and decision-making processes to steer the direction of our Framework and O3D engine’s future development.
Our Ideal Candidate has:
- Extensive knowledge of game systems and game engines, with a strong understanding of software development principles.
- Experience in Animation, Graph, Particle, or Instancing systems.
- Is comfortable in C++, Python, Lua, C#, or similar language, with a willingness to learn C++.
- Previous experience working in a startup environment, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, both internally and externally, to achieve common goals.
- Enthusiasm for exploring and implementing cutting-edge technologies in game development.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to share knowledge and expertise with teammates.
Additional Information:
- This position is contingent upon funding approval in the current intake of the Canada Media Fund (CMF) Prototyping stream, with a final decision expected by mid-June.
- The role offers a fully remote Contracting work arrangement, with a preference for candidates based in Edmonton, or Alberta.
- The position operates on a 4-day work week, with 32 hours per week (Monday to Thursday).
- Salary for this role is shared and calculated at $5000 per month based on a 4-day work week schedule.
